It's turkey time!

Hooray! You all did a great job donating food to food bank for the month of October. Congratulations to Heidi as she won the drawing for a turkey and some special Paper & Metal "trimmings". In the spirit of the season she turned around and donated the turkey back. We did find out that the Food Bank is severely short of their needed birds for Thanksgiving. So we are appealing to all of our customers and friends.... Lets donated some turkeys (or cash to buy some). Barb & Brenda are following Heidi's lead and donating one. Let's have a positive impact as a group, during these difficult times. Thanks.

Hey Hey Hey!!!!!

The new Websters Christmas line and The Graphic 45 Renaissance Faire are here FINALLY!!!!!

They were worth the wait. The Websters line will be the one that is featured in Our Christmas Album in a day... wow is it awesome!  The Christmas Album in a day will be Saturday, January 2. The calendar for winter is almost done and the newsletter is on schedule to be completed and printed by Nov 15. (maybe before). Hint to the fun we are scheduling..... this calendar contains classes with Tena, Michael & Becky!!!

Going Green has a winner!!!

Special Congratulations to Sandra Friend .... the winner of our going green contest. Her beautiful handmade book used corrugated cardboard for the cover and several signature of pages made from our shopping bags. Sandra won a $40 gift certificate & her book will be the featured project for our January Going Green class.

Honorable Mention goes to Shannon Bielke and Karen Bruns. Their entries tied for 2nd place. Karen created a paper mache bowl with our bags and Shannon made a beautiful frame using corrugated cardboard and scraps from her wood floor.

 

Tips for success

Ok so I am going to try to give you regular tips on techniques and products here on the blog.

Some you'll proably know and others will be new to you. I hope they are all helpful.

Today's tip is simple but is a frequently heard issue.

GLUE DOTS.... great adhesive for buttons, flowers and most small things but there is often a battle between sticking them onto what you want to glue and sticking to you  fingers. The tip here is take the item you want to glue down (button etc) and stick it onto the glue dot while it is on the backing paper. Then lift the item with a little twist and the glue dot should lift off on the item. Then stick it down.

OK so I hope you can use this tip.

Today is the day.... when our new line of cardstock is due to arrive!!! Yes we will have 240 different cardstocks from CORE'dinatons.

As soon as it arrives we will begin pulling all the Bazzill Cardstock. We will be boxing it in Pizza Factory Boxes with a pizza coupon. Your box will contain 75 sheets of Bazzill assorted cardstock and you will pay only $25. That is our cost!!! A bargain for sure! Then use your coupon for a great dinner!

Paper & Metal Scrappers are "RUSTY"

Today we had 2 classes with Becky Bunn where she taught us to "rust" using a product called Metal Effects. It is very cool! The wall hanging we made today used foamcore board and grunge board. They all turned out beautiful. During the September Altered class we will be experimenting with this 2 part rusting "paint" Everyone is bringing different "things" to rust. I'll let you know how they come out!

September is staying busy!!!

Wow we went to the fair... The northern Gila County Fair! Our booth was great fun... with a free make & take and coupons. Congratulations to all the PMS girls and guys who entered the fair and Won Ribbons.

Tomorrow is Becky Bunn's rusting class.... Yeah!
